Hi Roger,

Can you also send me the information on how do spatial analysis or link DSSAT to GIS?

  Best regards,

  Arnold

  Dear Mohamed,

You can do it by using spatial analisys. To be more helpful, I would need to
know which version of DSSAT are you using.

Nevertheless, you can refer to the documentation of DSSAT 3.5 (Included as
well in DSSAT 4 docs). As far as I can recall, DSSAT 4 documentation, which
was in progress, still does not have this part.

You will need to have ArcGIS, since DSSAT was made compatible with this GIS.

Tomorrow night, I will send you more information, just to not rely in my
memory.

For now, you can do the following to advance further in your work while you
get more help:
1. Create a soil profile for each different soil profile that best
represents the soil of each 10x10 cell in the grid.
2. Make a numbered list of the soil profile IDs you have created. Later, you
will need to create a layer raster map of soil profiles for your grid, in
which the value of each cell is equal to the number in the list that
represents the soil ID which you created in the DSSAT soil profiles file.

Best regards,

Roger R.
