The Indian Council of Agricultural Research (ICAR), India invites applications from the overseas nationals having Master’s degree in Agriculture and allied sciences for the “ICAR International Fellowships (ICAR-IFs)” for the year 2009-10. The ICAR-IFs are available for pursuing doctoral degree in agriculture and allied sciences, in the identified priority areas, to the overseas candidates for study in the best Indian Agricultural Universities (AUs) in the ICAR-Aus system. Fifteen fellowships for a total duration of three years, will be available.

Beside other area, some important areas relevant to the crop modeler are:
Climate Change: Adaptation, mitigation, carbon trading/carbon sequestration, methane
mitigation in livestock etc.
Precision farming,
GIS & remote sensing, geo-informatics, image processing
water conservation
Note: The other frontier areas in agriculture and allied sciences may also be
appropriately considered.
