Hi Munag

NOAA publishes a large data set of daily temperature, precipitation and
pressure data from around the world:
Global Surface Summary of Day
at
http://www.ncdc.noaa.gov/cgi-bin/res40.pl?page=gsod.html
and
http://www.ncdc.noaa.gov/cgi-bin/res40.pl?page=climvisgsod.html

The data is in files that cover the whole world a month at a time, and so is
a bit awkward to access. The National Agriculture Research Center in Japan
feed the data into a relational database, and make it available using
MetBroker tools.

To see what is available for Cameroon, go to this link and choose "Cameroon"
from the country list, and choose a date (I'd go back to 2003 or earlier).
The applet will retrieve a month of data at a time and show maximum and
minimum temperatures and rainfall available at that date for stations in the
area.

To get years of data at a time, and put it into the file, use this applet:
http://www.agmodel.org/applet/Applet?applet_id=mbsngstn&try_RMI=false

You'll need to download and install a recent Java Runtime Engine from Sun in
order to run these two applets.

If you have any questions regarding the software, please address them to the
MetBroker mailing list.
