Dear members of agromet,DSSAT and INSAM,

Regards and Best wishes,

All of us are aware that the fundamental investigations into agricultural
meteorological questions of interest can be carried out more effectively
with the detailed meteorological and biological information obtained from a
"Principal agricultural Meteorological station".

I wish to interact with a scientist/professor in agricultural meteorology
under whose leadership such a station is maintained as per the WMO Technical
Regulations to get some clarifications on technical matters.

Examples:

1.The influence of cloudniness during flowering on grain yield loss of
tropical cereal crops can be more effectively quantified and scientifically
explained when simultaneous meteorological and biological information is
recorded.Information obtained on these lines may be transformed into a
useful agrometeorological service to benefit the farmers and a wide range of
end users of agrometeorological services.

2.Similarly, an indication about the qualitative level of infestation on an
agricultural crop by an organism can be effectively worked out and be used
as an agrometeorological service with the data obtained from the Princial
agricultural meteorological station.

I am interested to interact on technical issues like this which are more
directly useful for the farmers.

Murthy.
