Pos Doc opportunity at Embrapa Rice & Beans for Crop Modeling Scientist
The subproject "The methodological development of an online tool for the identification of Target Population of Environments: Improving the predictions of agricultural production using crop models", coordinated by Embrapa Rice and Beans, and part of CCAFS (CGIAR Program on Climate Change, Agriculture and Food Security) project provides a post doc scholarship to work with crop models application for environmental characterization in order to explore genotypic adaptations.
*The responsibilities are to:
Sensitivity analysis of crop models parameters;
Apply crop models in order to characterize environments in the upland rice, irrigated rice and dry beans production areas in Brazil.
*Required Skills/Experience:
Doctor program in soil science, environment science, crop science, agronomy or related sciences;
Strong background in environment modeling, crop modeling, GIS applications, and applied statistics
Knowledge of R and FORTRAN programming would be an advantage
*Job Location:
Embrapa Rice & Beans, Santo Antônio de Goiás, Goiás State, Brazil.
*Duration: 1 year with possibility of renewal
*Schedule: Full-time
