Redcoats: Here are a few updates and important reminders. 

1) I will review this with you tomorrow. But your run-OFF direction has changed. It will now be straight forward. More later. 

2) Following several questions, I want to clarify what to do if you are experiencing COVID symptoms. Dr. Athanas is our point person for these. If you have her phone number, call her directly. If not, reach out to your Exec member or a section leader who will put you in touch. From there, you’ll be referred to medical staff for evaluation and, if appropriate, testing. We have access to quick reliable rapid tests, and we will reimburse costs for those recommended by our medical staff while on the trip. If you test positive, you enter the university protocol which mirrors recommendations of the CDC; please note that thieve have changed since the trip began, and we follow their latest publication. If you are a close contact of someone who tests positive, we notify you if the contact and review the protocol with you. 

I understand the temptation to ignore seemingly minor symptoms while on a well-deserved trip. But attending to those protects your fellow Redcoats and or family members thereof with compromised immunity. I trust that you will respect them by being forthcoming with any symptoms. 

3. Here’s another reminder to mask in all common areas and in your room. Many of you are, and a few are not. We appreciate the former, and hope the latter will help make sure we can be ready for whatever is next.
