UGA PROFESSOR TO APPEAR ON "20/20":
Food safety expert Mike Doyle, director of the Center for Food Safety
and Quality Enhancement at the University of Georgia, is scheduled to
appear on ABC's news magazine program "20/20" tonight, Friday, Feb. 4
at 10 p.m.   Doyle will appear in a segment about the safety and
health benefits of organic foods.


ATHENS-AREA RADIO STATION INTERVIEWS UGA OFFICIAL AS PART OF BLACK
HISTORY MONTH SERIES:
Sherwood Thompson, director of Minority Services and Programs at UGA,
will offer a commentary on the conservative organization Federalist
Society, a group which has traditionally fought legislation and
policies supporting affirmative action and women's rights.
Thompson's commentary will air at approximately 4:25 p.m., today,
Friday, Feb. 4 on WUGA-radio, Athens, Ga., 91.7 FM - 97.9 FM.
