Dear Mr. Bankston, I am Jiongtao, a cypraea collector, not an expert. I visited your site, it is quite good and the spacimen is quite interesting. But I still think that it is lynx. I have some small specimens from Philippines and Japan, some young shells have same patterns which are similar to your one. I also have a cowrie page which include some reports on Japanese rare cowries. If you have some interesting, Please visit, http://www.soft.ics.keio.ac.jp/~huang/cgi-bin/seashells.cgi Thank you, Best wishes and good shelling. - Jiongtao http://www.soft.ics.keio.ac.jp/~huang/ >-----Messaggio Originale----- >Da: Cecil Bankston <[log in to unmask]>>A: <[log in to unmask]> >Data invio: gioved $B!& (B27 aprile 2000 4.58 >Oggetto: Identity of a Cypraea > > > > I collected a Cypraea at Ifaty, Madagascar.
