Chicoreus flavicundus is the Thailand form of brunneus. This is often
reffered to dark apertural colours of yellow and most commonly orange. I
just arrived from 7 weeks in Thailand & Philippines. The Thai f.is
considerably larger than the average sized specimens from the Philippines.

Flavicundus is brunneus but averages a larger size in Thailand & tends to be
more colourful. I've seen orange apertured brunneus from the Philippines but
lacks the size of Thai specimens. Hope this answers your question. CHRIS
