Many of these Latin adjectives have been incorporated into English, in some
cases limited to technical terminology, but in other cases used in everyday
language.  Thus, nodulose, pustulose, granulose, varicose, verrucose,
nodose, rugose, ventricose, pilose, tumulose, spinose - and yes, also
squarrose - will all be found in a good english dictionary, as well as many
others.
