A Post-doctoral Scientist position is available at the Center for Atmospheric Sciences,  Hampton University, Hampton, Virginia. The position addresses the application of remote sensing and modeling of land-atmosphere interaction. Experience with retrieval and analysis of land surface data from different satellites is required. A strong background in land surface hydrological processes and GIS is highly desirable. Strong communication and writing skills are required. The position is initially for two years and may be extended depending on availability of funding and performance. The successful applicant will be part of CAS’s NOAACREST project (http://icerd.engr.ccny.cuny.edu/noaa/), and CAS’s VACCESS project (http://philler.scs.gmu.edu/VAccess/ ). The starting salary is competitive for a position of this nature and includes medical benefits.
