i'm almost too embarrassed to send this email.......BUT i was at the haena beach park collecting puka shells. i was also looking for langford scallops (the find kauaians love to happen onto). a woman came up to me and said she was sorry but shell collecting was illegal. i can't imagine why picking up dead shells would be a big deal. i've been doing it for years. i tried to look up hawaiian shelling regulations but was unsuccessful. do i need to stop doing this. oh, incidentally, the 50ish hippie chick that spoke to me might have been worried that i was treading on her turf. what do you think? mahalo jennifer hanhila _________________________________________________________________ Don’t just search.
