Hi, There are several reasons an email sent to the listserv may not show up on the list, most are not due to blocking. Your post may never reach the server running the listserv software. This happens when there are problems between your ISP and the server. Remember the internet is just a collection of servers that cooperate to deliver email, web pages etc. There are a lot of things that can mess up this process. Failing hardware, incorectly configured software, bad DNS information, or a power outage at any point along the way can disrupt the process. Normally if an email fails to reach its destination the server that sent the email will try to re-send it for up to 5 days. If it still can not deliver the email after the 5 days, it will send you an email telling you it could not deliver the message. If your post arrives at the server running the listserv software, it will either be posted to the list, forwarded to one of the moderators for acceptance, rejected by the software and sent back to you with a message explaining why it was rejected (spam, virus, bad headder, not from a subscriber, etc). If you have problems posting to the list, send an email describing your problem to [log in to unmask] We can usually help you figure out where the problem is.
