Just a quick question.

I appreciate that once a species enters an isolated location with lots of
un-exploited niches that there is the possibility of radial adaptation of
the initial species into several others to fill those niches (ie. the
variety of finches in the Galapagos). I was wondering specifically what
factor permitted such a remarkable diversity of small Conus species in the
Cape Verde Islands.

Thanks.

Doug
