Conch_L,
The 'Save the Pacific Northwest Octopus' is a very well made up-to-date addition to the biologic literature in the spirit of 'The Souters' book. Does it take a special sense of humor to study cephalopods or does it somehow infect the students of squishy intelligence? Doesn't seem to appear as often in students of snails or clams...
When I saw the picture of the pacific Northwest Octopus in its native habitat I was reminded of a serious drawing of a Carboniferous horseshoe crab which was described as being similarly rboreal.
