Yes,
This is a rare Hawaii endemic full species. A revision by Poppe revised
the status. Most crabbed deep-water specimens are very dead or fossilized.
I suspect this species live deep in sand & doesn't leave a trail. All the
live specimens i've found are 45-60ft. Sometimes octopus keep live shells
around the den for those late night munchies. The un-published WRS that i
have is 119.8mm.   CHRIS:)
