Hi thanks for your reactions about this topic. I've read them but these are all methods of packing which are basicly known by everyone: -cotton wool -bubble wrap -paper towels -kitchen film -soap, rice, etc... In fact I was trying to find out if there were no newer (and maybe better) ways of packing. Just a thought: mica, gelatine or other powder (agar agar) which you can mix with water and which will settle again as a sort of jelly coating.... or any kind of synthetic foam you can apply and wash of afterwards. I have also a remark (which has nothing to do with the method of packing) but if nowadays I would pack shells into soapflakes which I put into plastic containers in my luggage and travel by plane I would guess I wouldn't get far knowing that homemade explosives (ANFO) do have the same appearance. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- [log in to unmask] - a forum for informal discussions on molluscs To leave this list, click on the following web link: http://listserv.uga.edu/cgi-bin/wa?SUBED1=conch-l&A=1 Type your email address and name in the appropriate box and click leave the list. ----------------------------------------------------------------------
