Mars Wrigley is looking for someone to lead our cocoa production forecasting team. The deliverables of this role are a critical input into cocoa procurement and supply/price risk strategies. This is an exciting role with vast business exposure
in one of the largest agricultural spend areas for Mars Incorporated.
In this role, the associate is responsible for:
- Delivering cocoa yield and area forecasts throughout the crop year using statistical models and ground truth survey data
- Communicating forecasts to sr. leaders, sourcing managers, and price risk managers as competitive intelligence
- Implementing new modelling techniques and continuous improvement for ground truth surveys to improve accuracy and lead time
- Managing 3 remote direct reports in cocoa origins, and indirectly managing a broader team of 14 field based associates
What we’re looking for:

Minimum Bachelor's Degree in Economics, Statistics, Agriculture, or Data Science

Ability to travel internationally 20% of the time

Experienced in statistical forecasting, data analysis

Experience with GIS is a plus

Preferred experience in commodity markets and price risk management

Is able to communicate complex analysis to a broad, diverse audience

Line management experience preferred, but not required
