We are looking for a colleague who will contribute to research and further development of our MARS Crop Yield Forecasting System with focus on crop growth modelling aspects, including ensemble crop growth modelling, artificial intelligence, and other novel methodologies to improve the accuracy and lead time of crop yield forecasts at regional and national levels, in the EU and its neighbourhood. The successful candidate will also act as agricultural analyst, performing analysis of growing conditions and quantitative crop yield forecasts, thus contributing to the publication of the monthly JRC MARS Bulletin (see https://agri4cast.jrc.ec.europa.eu/).

This is a temporary position with maximum duration of 6 years.

The place of employment is Ispra, in northern Italy, on the east coast of Lago Maggiore.
