Dear colleagues,

The Environmental Geography group from the Free University of Amsterdam (VU Amsterdam) has an exciting position as tenure track assistant professor of land use and food systems. The position was re-advertised due to the very low number of applicants. The position offers a very good salary scale, in a scientifically competitive environment. The tenure track position can be turned into a permanent position after 18 months of efforts for applying to grants and proving a development in terms of publication writing.

Very briefly, the assistant professor will develop projects that look at the interrelations between food systems and land use in the context of sustainability transitions. The successful candidate is expected either analyze the full food system, or focus on specific food system interactions with land use.

More information and the link for applying can be found here: https://workingat.vu.nl/ad/ud-food-systems/3xv21y
Thanks for spreading this to potential interested graduated PhD students or postdocs.

Best regards,

Pierre Chopin (He/Him)
