Geospatial Specialist/ Librarian, University of Arizona
We are re-launching our search for a new Geospatial Specialist/Librarian at the University of Arizona Libraries. This is a faculty, continuing-status (aka tenure-eligible) position with a minimum salary of $63,000.

The primary requirements for this role are the following:
+ Experience teaching GIS techniques and methods to a range of users from a range of disciplines
+ Enthusiasm for GIS as a vast resource that scholars across the disciplines could tap into
+ A Masters degree in something
Especially desirable qualifications include:
+ Experience with one or more open source software options in addition to ESRI products
+ Experience with, or interest in developing, scholarship using GIS resources
+ Interest in open source and open access initiatives
+ Interest in academic libraries
If you have students who have worked with GIS platforms who liked teaching and will have completed a postgraduate degree, we encourage you to send them to us before January 15, 2024.
