Anne,
My condolences to Kitty, Harry's family, to you and David, and everyonewho has had the privilege of knowing and working with Harry over theyears.
It would not be too trite to say the conchological and malacologicalcommunity has lost a giant among us. Harry's knowledge of mollusks, the history of shells, shellers and shell collecting transcends any bookor literature within our libraries. . . . Harry was the Google ofConchology. Few if any in contemporary conchology have reached thestature of Harry. He will be sorely missed as a colleague, friendand fellow collector.
