You summed it up beautifully.  What an honor and privilege it has been for me to have known him.  There will never be another Harry.  This is truly a sad and dark day for us all.  I can’t believe it!

My condolences to Kitty, Harry's family, to you and David, and everyone who has had the privilege of knowing and working with Harry over the years.

It would not be too trite to say the conchological and malacological community has lost a giant among us.  Harry's knowledge of mollusks, the history of shells, shellers and shell collecting transcends any book or literature within our libraries. . . . Harry was the Google of Conchology.  Few if any in contemporary conchology have reached the stature of Harry.  He will be sorely missed as a colleague, friend and fellow collector.
