From: Christa Steinkamp and Dr. Andrew Thoron, Agriscience Fair
Superintendents

Greetings, Advisors, with students preparing for the Georgia FFA
Agriscience Fair! We have resources for you & your student on the
Agriscience Fair page <https://www.georgiaffa.org/page.aspx?ID=91> on our
website. Please do not wait until the last minute to work on the
application or ensure students have created their AET accounts. Please
call me or someone in your Region office if you need help getting your
students into their accounts.

*Due March 15th *on the National FFA Application center at www.ffa.org*:*
**Agriscience Fair Application (complete with electronic signatures)*
**Agriscience Fair Written report (pdf uploaded into the application)*

*Application/Written Report*

*The Agriscience Fair Application is housed in the Application Manager on
FFA.org. Each student must have an active MyFFA account to begin an
application. Students should log in to their MyFFA account, access the
Application Manager, and create an application. Once a student has created
the application, their advisor can see the application in their Application
Manager.

*For team projects, one student must sign in & start the application, then
assign another student on the bottom of the cover page. Then, the 2nd
student can log in and have editing access to the application.

*The Agriscience Fair Application requires electronic signatures.
Signatures must be requested from the student's login. The application
manager will email the person requested for signature approval, so please
do not wait until the day these are due to request electronic signatures.

*The National FFA report templates are encouraged for all written reports
and are available on our website.

*Once the written report is complete, please upload a PDF copy to
the application manager.

*All successive year projects must submit an Extension form and abstract
for each prior year’s work as part of written material submitted by the
state deadline.

*Poster/ Visual Display **(for interviews at State Convention)*
*See the handbook for guidance. The same parameters must be followed.

*Please see this document from Dr. Thoron on suggestions for creating a
digital display or email us if you have questions.

All Agriscience Fair projects submitted will be screened and scored by a

using the Written Report Rubric (Pre-Qualifying) and the Interview Rubric
(Convention Rubric) for the appropriate division. Please review the
appropriate rubrics to make sure your students answer enough information
for the judges to score them. Rubrics and other information is posted on
the Georgia Ag Ed website <https://www.georgiaffa.org/page.aspx?ID=91>
& National
FFA website <https://www.ffa.org/participate/awards/agriscience-fair/>. Please

*Adding final written reports and applications to the state Submission
List **(Submitting applications on the Application Manager video)

1. Log in to your Georgia AgEd account.
2. In the left side menu bar, scroll down and click the “Go To
Degree/Application Manager” link.
3. Go into each State Degree application and, once the application is
complete, be sure to click the “Save/Print Application” button to generate
a revised PDF of the final application. That version # is the one you will
need to make sure is used in the next steps. You can also print that PDF
file for a hard copy of the application.
4. On your main Application Manager page, look in the middle of the screen
for the “State Submission List & Feedback” button and click it.
5. At the top of the screen, in the list of application types, click
on the 2023 Agriscience Fair.
6. In the middle of the page, look for the “Add by version #” or “Browse”
buttons. You can enter the version number of the application(s) you want to
be submitted in the search box, or click the browse button to see your list
of eligible applications.
7. When an application is added to the Submission List, you will see it
listed on the bottom portion of your screen in the Submission List. Then
repeat the process for each of your Agriscience Fair applications.
8. Confirm that all of the Agriscience Fair applications from your chapter
are listed on the bottom half of the page in the “Submitted” list. That is
how the applications will be reviewed for state approval.
9. You’re done…that’s it. Really, once your application(s) show up in that
Submission List…that’s all you have to do.
