Ag Teachers

The 96th Georgia FFA Convention is only 55 days away. Attached are the convention agenda and session breakdown. These documents were posted on the State Convention website a couple of weeks ago. We have made a couple of small changes to session content, so please look over the convention agenda and session breakdowns to be sure you know what is taking place during each session. If you have students being recognized on stage at the convention, the agenda and session breakdowns will identify which session your students should be prepared for their recognition.

On-Stage Recognition
If you have students who have placed in state events, or your chapter is a finalist with a chapter-based award application, please be sure to review this list below so that you’re clear about who is recognized on stage at the state convention.

Proficiency Awards – 3 state finalists, each with 1 advisor
CDE/LDE team events – Entire State Winning team and 1 advisor, plus 1 person from the 2nd and 3rd place teams, and the top 3 individuals
CDE/LDE individual events – Top 3 students and the advisor of the state winner
Middle School Record Books – Area winners, each with 1 advisor
FFA Week – 3 state finalists (1 student, 1 advisor per chapter)

The most notable change to our session schedule, this year, is moving the election for state FFA President to session 5 on Saturday morning. We will announce the first six members of the new officer team early in session 5, then elect our State President. We will announce the new President and V.P. early in session 6, then hold the election for state FFA Secretary later in session 6.
