Hi Sam,

For a project I brought a sheet of glass to use to hold down the curl and then used a rigged camera. We used a Phase One but I am sure others would work. The results came out great.

Best regards,

Michael

Subject: Scanner Recommendations for Aerial Photo Digitization

Hello Maps-L!

I am a relatively new maps/geospatial librarian and I am looking into acquiring a scanner for an aerial photos digitization project. Are there any scanners that you are using that you would recommend for this sort of project?

If it helps, quite a few of the photos have curled over the years and may not be compatible with a top-loading scanner.

I appreciate any responses!

Best,

Sam
