The Bouchet et al. 2017 volume does provide an exhaustive list in taxonomic order, so it's certainly one good option. As Sylvia noted, there are constant updates in detail, so you have to pick a point of reference and stick with it until you have time to revise your overall arrangement. If anyone needs to purchase a paper copy of the Bouchet et al. 2017 gastropod and monoplacophoran volume, or for that matter of any other Malacologia back volume, I would be the person to contact.---------------------------------------------------------------------- [log in to unmask] - a forum for informal discussions on molluscs To leave this list, click on the following web link: http://listserv.uga.edu/scripts/wa-UGA.exe?SUBED1=conch-l-L&A=1 Type your email address and name in the appropriate box and click leave the list. ----------------------------------------------------------------------Dear Vickey,
I use
Bouchet et al 2016- REVISED CLASSIFICATION, NOMENCLATOR AND TYPIFICATION OF
GASTROPOD AND MONOPLACOPHORAN FAMILIES, published in MALACOLOGIA, 2017, 61(1–2): 1–526
If you want a copy of the PDF you can send me a private email.
For the latest updates I consult Worms (https://www.marinespecies.org/)and Molluscabase (https://www.molluscabase.org), but it is not possible to change the order of a collection with each new taxonomical insight.

I'd agree with Bob's suggested order, but you are really dealing with a bush, with families coming out in all directions, rather than a straight line of all the families. There are published lists but I do not have the latest--probably others will help you.

Dear Vicky:
"Proper taxonomic order" depends on which expert you believe. Without trying to defend (and probably starting a firestorm), I would put them in the following phylogenetic order:
Zebinidae
Vermetidae
Aplysiidae
Ellobiidae
Let the games begin.

Hello,
I am trying to get an exhibit together with the proper taxonomic order of Gastropod families. I would appreciate any help with the following families....if you know where they belong, it would be helpful to me if you could give one or two families in front of and after. Here they are:
Zebinidae, Ellobiidae, Aplysiidae, and Vermetidae.
Thank you very much,
