LIVE EXPLORATION

In partnership with Georgia Forestry Foundation, GPB Education will be live streaming from The Jones Center at Ichauway in Newton, Georgia, on May 7th at 10 am ET.

During the 30-minute program, students will hear from various experts across the state as they explore the life cycle of a tree and the importance of forests, learn how land managers literally fight wildfires with fire, and discover why Georgia is the #1 forestry state in the country.

This event includes interactive elements, such as polls and experts who are available to answer students' questions in real time. Use #ForestsLive to participate in the conversation.

This program will be televised on GPB-TV and live streamed on gpb.org/trees. Georgia's Forests Live Exploration will also be available on demand after May 7th with supplemental classroom resources for grades K-12.
