----------------------------Original message---------------------------- Good point Nat!! Admittedly, we are fortunate with our location and the proximity of several services, etc. Nevertheless, I think many libraries may be able to arrange for pick-up and return of material which could solve the proximity issue. The most important issue, I believe, is the ability to offer such a service with reasonable pricing and scheduling. Secondly, if I could avoid the servicing of the machine I would choose a vendor/commercial outlet that may charge a little more. The issue of 'special collections' materials is another issue altogether and one which we solve with special appointments and one of our staff hand-carries such material and it is copied in a mylar folder. ***************************************************************** David A.
