I have been using it with mixed results to print maps created by several programs (Map Expert, ArcView2, and Graphics Workshop for Windows). I have been having particular difficulties printing with ArcView2, and I suspect there is a bug in the program interfering with print spooling. Small files print OK, but large files (more than a megabyte or so) don't print at all. The people at ESRI suggested that my printer needs more RAM, but I am not sure that this is the source of the problem. I can print larger files with other programs, but am encountering other annoying problems with them. (For example, maps do not fill the entire page.) I am running these programs on an IBM 486 with 16M of RAM. Do these problems sound familiar to anyone? Is purchasing more RAM for the printer going to make them go away? If so, how much do I need? Is there anything else I can do to improve printing of large files?
