----------------------------Original message---------------------------- Here at UW-Milwaukee the Geography Department Map Library owns a large collection of well used relief maps, the ones made of vacuum formed plastic. Does anyone have conservation advice about saving them? They are looking out for better weather due to years of hanging in flourescent-lit classrooms, enthusiastic lecturers with rubber-tipped pointers, and bulk storage in a pile. I've got them stored on edge now, more or less protected from lights and sun and am wondering about mounting them on corrugated cardboard or something. Are there any better ideas out there? Thanks for your interest. Skip Porter, map librarian
