----------------------------Original message---------------------------- You asked: >>Are there any NON-COMMERCIAL sources of boundary files for the states of the U.S., Canada, Mexico? Maybe free from some government agency or geography group?<< check out ftp://ftp.ciesin.org/pub/census This is a super place to find Atlas *.bna files and equivalent datasets from the 1990 U.S. Census.... Organized primarily by document type: STF1b; STF3a; etc., and census geographic level: state, county, tract, etc. I'm not familiar with Mapmaker features, and don't know how/whether it can use Atlas Import/Export to convert the boundary files from ASCII to the needed binary format...
