----------------------------Original message---------------------------- If the book is to go to the stacks and it isn't feasible for the maps to accompany it there, you could send the maps to your map collection, and place a note in the catalog record as to their location. Check the title(s) on the maps. Sometimes they have a different title than does the book, and so could be cataloged as a separate entity (or entities). Again, cataloging notes can alert the user as to the relationship between the items. An elaborate solution would be to fold the maps to a reasonable size and enclose them and the book in pam pocket (your binder or mend dept. would have to do this work, I expect.) That way you could keep everything together. Just my two cents worth.
