What you may find useful is: T'SOU, B.K. Distribution of varieties of Chinese n the Greater Pacific area, which is a larger than A3 map (scale about 250 km to 1 inch), bound within a similar publication published by the Australian National University. Stephan Wurm published a whole series of very large working papers/monographs on languages - write to the Deparment of Anthropology for a catalogue. I only have the map (on my wall for several years) not the book. The date is about 1988 or so.
