I visit the Dominican Republic in 1994 and 1995 for diving and shelling. I visit Puerto Plata region and Samana Peninsola. The last place offered some good diving and shelling oppurtunities. At that time, there were (as far as I know) no restirctions to life shelling. I brought both times about 10 kilogram in shells back. No checks what so ever at the airport. Perhaps it has changed now, but at that time, no problems. > ---------- > From: daniel kogler[SMTP:[log in to unmask]] > Reply To: Conchologists of America List > Sent: dinsdag 1 september 1998 15:30 > To: [log in to unmask] > Subject: A question to the Caribbean experts > > --- Virus checked / Op virussen gecontroleerd --- > Next week I will be visiting the Dominican Republic for diving and > shelling. > > Anybody out there who has some detailed information about restrictions > on export of self-collected and/or bought marine shells from there????? > > I've heard some scaring stories from collectors in Austria..... > > Shelling greetings, > Daniel > =============================================================================== De informatie verzonden met dit E-mail bericht is uitsluitend bestemd voor de geadresseerde.
