OK - I was hoping that someone else would answer this one, but since no-one else has responded, I'll try to do it as tastefully as possible. Martin, I know of no published common name for Typhis latipennis. But the species name means "side penis", in reference to the long, tubular (dare I say erect?) spine which projects from the side of the shell. If you can create an acceptable common name for your label from that information, go for it! Regards, Paul M.
