Several Redcoat members have reached out to say they have not received their rings to date. When they contacted Jostens directly, they were told that the list of names they were given only went through the letter M of the last name.

Hello Redcoats!

Your Tax ID number is your social security number. Some of you may have already registered from a past event, and in that case, the vendor system will tell you that you already exist in the system. The 2022 Summer Music Camps will return to campus as in-person camps this coming June! The dates of the Summer Music Camp/Summer Music Institute are June 5-9, 2022 and the Summer Marching Band Camp is June 12-16, 2022. As in the past, we have many job opportunities during the weeks of camp such as rehearsal assistants, dorm staff, and logistical staff that are necessary for the camps to occur. I still don’t have more details about Saturday, so let me ask you to do the following:

1. Prepare for Saturday as though it were a normal home game Saturday. This includes full uniform.
2. Plan to be occupied with this event from around 11:00am until about 2:00pm.
3. Know that you will not need a ticket to the event.

Things are taking shape for our trip to Indy.

with a cupcake win. Now, after 2 years of not meeting, UGA is scheduled to

Happy Sunday Redcoats and a “bless you” to “Missou”. With a score of 43-6, Missouri left Athens wondering why they were ever so confident in the first quarter. With Missouri out of the way, the Dawgs are moving onto their game against the Tennessee Volunteers this Saturday at 3:30 PM, and while Tennessee and Georgia share a love of dogs for mascots, the only dog scoring touchdowns this Saturday will be the one dressed in red.

Happy Sunday, and happy Halloween Redcoats! We defeated the florida g*tors yesterday 34-7, and as we end this weekend, I would like to let out a final HYLTBMA to Florida, its fans, and its absence of unlimited refills of souvenir cups (that last one might just be me). Thank you for not only playing your heart out in Florida, but for representing the band well in St. Augustine and abroad. Many fans and Redcoats Alumni commented on how well the band represented the university in spirit and in music.

Hey everyone!

It's Michael Chapa and I just wanted to give you a few details about how we will be handling attendance starting from tonight's rehearsal (10/19) and moving forward.

As you've seen from Mr. Akridge's email yesterday, we will be wiping the exhibition attendance and all UDB attendance up until today. From now on, section leaders and rank leaders will be in charge of reporting to me about anyone who is not at rehearsal on time. At the beginning of every rehearsal, I will walk around to each section to document this.

Attached are the Auburn (10/9) and Ga Tech (11/27) rosters. We started each band with Derbies then filled in with other students who completed the form stating an interest in attending Auburn or Tech. We filled out each section based on music ranking from band camp and on which parts were needed. Parts are listed by names where necessary because we may need people to cover other parts for each band to be balanced.

Here is a little more information about Thursday's abrupt rehearsal cancellation.

From the beginning of fall semester to the early part of this week, COVID cases within the band had been very low. However, between 9:00 PM on Tuesday and late Thursday afternoon, I had been notified of 10 confirmed (positive test result) or suspected (symptomatic and exposed) cases in our membership--substantially higher than in any similar period I could recall in the pandemic's eighteen months.

I know several of you were not here when we learned the tunnel sequence. I also understand that UDB is not the same as being at rehearsal. But we can not learn drill multiple times; we don't have the hours, and you won't put up with it for long. If you can't be at rehearsal, please do your very best to arrive at the next rehearsal prepared to make it clear that the two hours we spent without you weren't wasted. I think that's a reasonable expectation.

Battle Hymn auditions will be held Thursday immediately following rehearsal. Here is the procedure:

0. Available staff: Please stay after if possible to help adjudicate.
1. Immediately after rehearsal, candidates will line themselves up on the Side-1 20-yard-line, everyone on a track. If there isn’t enough room here (21 candidates), the remaining members should line themselves up on the 15.
2. A drum major will lead you in drawing numbers for your audition order. Remember your number.
3. Starting with number 1, and moving up from there, each candidate will walk

UDBApp brings a lot of advantages to us, but the biggest might be the variety of ways you can look at your drill. If your parents are looking for tickets to home football games this season, please let them know that football single game tickets are now for sale. I can’t guarantee which direction we’ll play for which game yet. Know also that Kentucky, we may not play pregame (homecoming), and the Charleston Southern is both Senior Day and Military Appreciation Day.
