I was in Helsinki a few weeks ago and noticed that several of the city buses were boldly covered with maps. They were close-ups culled from what looked like maps of Helsinki found in tourist literature - of high quality, and very legible. Name designations were in Finnish and Swedish. These super-graphics were expertly done, informal in their layout, and covered the bus from top to bottom - even the roof. The result was very lively, and wonderfully typical of Finland, where outstanding and imaginative design is found literally everywhere.
