I've been enjoying the discussion generated by the Keller article in
Cartographic Perspectives.
As the editor of the Map Library Bulletin Board, I was opposed to the
publication of the article, but am gratified that so many have taken the
time to read and think about the issues.

The editors of CP would welcome responses to the article for publication
in the next issue. Publication of responses in CP would give the
cartography/geography community who may not be reading Maps-L a chance
to see our concerns. The response doesn't need to be long, and could
be based on the excellent messages posted here. We have one response
already, and the issues deserve broad consideration - I encourage
additional thoughts and essays. Please contact me if you would consider
formalizing your thoughts a bit and submitting a response.
