Subject: Re: Seeking Map Count for USGS Topos by State (fwd)

I asked that exact question in May of USGS, who referred me to John C. Fouke, a cartographer at the Earth Science Information Center in Rolla, Missouri,
[log in to unmask] His answer was as follows, using abbrevations--

These are the maps that cover the 36 states that the Mid-Continent Mapping Center has in stock (he claims they may be "...probably just a couple of quads off in a
state" but also that his list is "quite accurate.")

AL 839
AR 887
CT 91
DE 39
District of Columbia 3
FL 1013
GA 957
IL 993
IN 641

Puerto Rico 67

His list for maps that the Center doesn't stock is as follows (he says "The list for the western US is quite dated, but still should be fairly close:")

AZ 1880
