I've seen a certain amount of traffic on whether each edition of Landview
supercedes the previous one , and I've also gotten questions directly.

The short answer is, the different versions of Landview are "associated"
with different data sets. LandView 6 has data for the 108th congress,
LandView 5 has data for the 106th. Landview 6 has more Census 2000 data,
while some of the earlier LV's have 1990 data.

Because of this, you cannot say it's superseded and withdraw items under
that rule. If you want to withdraw the version from your collection, you
would need to use the five-year retention rule and go through the withdraw
procedures with your regional depository (assuming you got the title
through the FDLP).
