Now available: Several new additions to the Historic Atlas Series including
county township level atlas and maps from Pennsylvania.

PA County Atlases: http://www.historic-atlas-series.com/pa_map/pa_index.html

Details on early maps are often difficult to read and these are no
exception; however, by virtue of Adobe Portable Document formatting (PDF),
these documents may be inspected at high levels of magnification without
additional digital distortion.

Each map may include many 19th century features such as:

roads, railroads and canals
post offices and government sites
schoolhouses, churches and cemeteries
rivers, streams and ferries
race tracks, fair grounds and picnic groves
industrial sites, furnaces and mills
early homesteads and farms
-and much, much more

Historic Atlas Series atlas and maps may be an invaluable aid to
Genealogists, Historians and researchers in search of 19th century places
and place names. These early maps often contain many places that no longer
exist or that have been obscured over time; the location of property
owners,
businesses, churches and cemeteries may assist genealogical researchers
interested in local history.
