Subject: "model" MARC digital aerial photograph record

As some of you know, for the last 2 years, I've been part of the staff working on an IMLS grant to digitize Illinois historic aerial photos, part of which was to come up with a "model" digital aerial photograph catalog record. You can now get the Adams County prototype by looking at http://www.cyberdriveillinois.com/publications/librarypub.html
Scroll down to "Illinois Libraries" and click on the Fall 2005 issue. On p. 41 is the Adams County record and p. 42 has the OCLC record numbers for all 45 counties that we did. The rest of the story on how I arrived at this "model" is in the text of the article at p. 33. Alyce Scott, of the Illinois State Library staff, produced Dublin Core records as well for all 45 counties and the Adams County record in on p. 43. You could also just read the whole article (p. 24-[51])!
