Please allow me to jump on the bandwagon and tell HelenJane
CONGRATULATIONS!!! and HAPPY RETIREMENT! I may not have as many years into
the profession as David and a few others ; -) but I've been around long
enough to benefit from HelenJane's mentoring and friendship, as well as to
have witnessed a number of her always-excellent presentations at various
forums such as SLA G&M and NACIS. I know I am one of MANY map
librarians/catalogers to have benefited from HelenJane's willingness to
reach out and help those around her in the profession. I am sure the folks
at Florida are going to find it extremely difficult to "fill her shoes" so
to speak, and will miss her not only within the Libraries there but all
across campus and in the community. I personally hope to continue to see
HelenJane at future conferences and meetings, and want to say thank you
once again for including me in your circle of friends!
