Subject: Scale in a microform map

I would be very grateful for advice about the correct way to
describe the scale of a microform map, especially if there is no
easy way to determine the scale of the original paper product.
"Scale not given"? The apparently forbidden "Scale indeterminable"?

Any suggestions would be appreciated--thanks.
