The 2008 UCGIS Summer Assembly will be held June 23 & 24 at the Hubert
Humphrey Institute in Minneapolis, on the campus of the University of
Minnesota.

The schedule this year will feature special presentations on health and
demographic issues, accreditation and certification, GIScience teaching
from a computational perspective, ethics in GIS research and many other
advanced GIS topics. In addition, there will be research sessions with
outstanding new faculty and graduate students.

Our conference hotel is the Holiday Inn Metrodome, adjacent to the
campus. The opening session of the Assembly will begin at 8:30 a.m. on
Monday, June 23 and the final session will conclude at 6 p.m. on
Tuesday, June 24.
