To which usefully helpful listing by Angie I shall add only one
suggestion - relevant, mainly, if you have geological mapping amongst
your cache (?). To wit, the illustrated article 'Specialist maps
prepared by German military geologists for Operation Sealion: the
invasion of England scheduled for September 1940' by Edward P.F. Rose
[Dept of Geol., Royal Holloway, Univ. of London] and Dierk Willig
[AGeoBw-GeoInfoSt Erfurt, Germany] in: The Cartographic Journal (Leeds :
Maney Publishing, for British Cartographic Soc.; ISSN 0008-7041), June
2004, 41(1), 13-35, refs on pp.34-35. Prof. Rose has published also on
geological and water supply maps, German and/or British, for WW1 & WW2
in 'CJ' and elsewhere.

Hi All,

I didn't take the time to read through all the messages, but nazi maps
and subjects of a similar nature have come up on Maps-L before. Here is
a list of messages that a search using just the word 'nazi' brought up.

Maybe among these postings there is a reference to a book, article or
website.

Thanks for pointing to that article Joel. I'm aware that many of the
larger research collections have at least a few of these, PSU has a
pretty sizable amount. I recall some aspects of these maps has been
brought up on this list before, and I'm trying to remember if I have
ever had a conversation with someone who was thinking about doing an
article on these maps but not remembering anything specific. Still, I
have a funny feeling there is more written about them "out there" and
I will pull my indexes to the SLA G&M Bulletin to see if I can find
anything there.
