Subject: Re: Fwd: need help locating earliest editions of LC G-schedule

Thanks Mary! (and how are you?)

Thanks to all who have responded to my request. I met with Dr. Downs
last Friday morning and with several printouts in hand from WorldCat
plus some information he already had pursued he left quite happy (and
also carting the latest three editions of the G-schedule from my own
collection). He is pursuing ILL for the 1910 edition and after
receiving it and using it will move on to the next edition. I am
excited to see a Geographer interested in the methodologies and
reasons behind them for classifying maps and other geography-related
items (he also is looking into how GIS items are classed and the
decisions for how some go into one classification area while others
go into one or more different ones). Stay tuned in the coming months...

Sincerely,

Paige
