Hello to MAGIRT folks!
You, as a MAGIRT member, are cordially invited to submit one or more
nominations to the MAGIRT Nominations and Awards Committee for those
individuals AND/OR organizations who stand out because of their
outstanding achievement and major contributions to map and geospatial
librarianship and to MAGIRT.
Nominations will be accepted between October 1 and November 1, 2013 for
the MAGIRT Honors Award. The recipient will be announced and honored
during a MAGIRT event at the 2014 American Library Association Annual
Conference in Las Vegas. The award recipient(s) need not be present at
the conference to be chosen (although it is a whole lot more fun that
way!). Recipients receive a certificate, a trophy or similar item, and a
cash award as determined by the MAGIRT Executive Board. Remarks made at
the awards reception and pictures of the recipients are published in
_base line_. Lastly, notification of the award will be sent to the
director of each recipient's institution as appropriate or desired.

- Position Title (or Former Position Title) if an individual

organization should receive the MAGIRT Honors Award
No information about who submitted for whom will be distributed, and
self-nominations will be accepted. The final winner(s) will be selected
by the MAGIRT Nominations and Awards Committee. A list of our past
