Hard copies of this announcement were passed out at the Spring WAML
Meeting in Los Angeles last week.  I am posting a copy to Maps-L for
those who did not attend the meeting and other interested parties.

              Western Association of Map Libraries
                      Fall, 1994 Meeting
                     Jackson Hole, Wyoming
 
The Fall, 1994 meeting of the Western Association of Map Libraries
will be held September 8-9, 1994, at the University of Wyoming
National Park Service Research Center in Grand Teton National Park,
about 30 miles north of Jackson, Wyoming.

     Anyone Interested in sharing information on how their Library
          automated map circulation is invited to participate.
 
Additional Information on Potential Talks:
 
Visual Information, Inc. has been contacted about giving a
presentation on digital preservation of maps and images.
 
The Park Superintendents at both Grand Teton and Yellowstone
National Parks have been contacted about other potential speakers
on topics such as the development of a fire management plan for the
Greater Yellowstone Region, and GIS in the National Parks.
 
Volunteers Needed: Anyone interested in moderating sessions should
contact Linda Zellmer.
 
Housing Information: We will be staying at Colter Bay, one of three
hotel areas Grand Teton National Park.  Ten 2-room cabins, each
with a double bed, 2 twin beds and connecting baths, and five
1-room cabins, 3 with double beds and 2 with twin beds and
individual baths have been reserved.  Double room cabins cost
$75.00 per night and single room cabins will cost $55.00 per night.

that are not reserved by August 5, 1994 will be released.
 
A field trip to tour the Upper Loop of Yellowstone National Park is
also being planned.
